Being Benedictine


James and I are oblates of the Benedictine Community of Jamberoo Abbey. It’s delightful to attend the Abbey together and to be associated with its beautiful community of sisters.

An oblate is a lay associate who lives away from a monastery but offers her or himself to, as much as possible, live a Benedictine way of prayer, learning and work in affiliation with the monastery and its community.

Here I will collect some bits and pieces about our Benedictine experience
